The Spinlock Deckvest VITO AFS – 170N represents the latest evolution of Spinlock’s category-defining offshore lifejacket. Updated for 2026, the new VITO introduces the revolutionary AFS (Advanced Flotation System), a completely re-engineered flotation design that improves rotation, freeboard, and most importantly stability in the water. The result is a lifejacket that is smaller, lighter, and more comfortable to wear, while delivering enhanced in-water safety performance.

Unlike traditional lifejackets that rely on flat welded bladders, the VITO’s AFS flotation chamber forms part of the sewn outer construction of the jacket. This allows the buoyancy chamber to be shaped in a true 3D profile that sits close to the body, positioning buoyancy where it performs best. The design maximises righting ability and stability while maintaining a remarkably low-profile fit that improves freedom of movement both on deck and in the water.

With 170N buoyancy and a Hammar® hydrostatic automatic inflation system, the Deckvest VITO AFS is designed for serious offshore sailing and demanding conditions. The hydrostatic inflator is positioned on the back of the jacket to reduce the risk of snagging or damage during use. When deployed, the bladder’s highly visible colour combination of hi-vis pink and hi-vis yellow dramatically improves visibility at distance in poor weather or low light.
